On November 18, 2021 Private Client Services, LLC (“PCS”) discovered suspicious activity on an employee email account. In response an investigation was launched to determine the the nature of this unauthorized activity. The investigation confirmed that an unauthorized third party gained access to an employee email account between November 4th and November 18th, 2021. Recently, PCS has disclosed a data breach that the company is blaming on an unauthorized party gaining access to sensitive consumer information through a compromised employee email account.

Upon discovering that sensitive consumer data was accessed by an unauthorized party, Private Client Services reviewed any affected files to determine what information was compromised. According to PCS, the breach resulted in the names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers and state identification numbers being compromised. The company issued NOTICE OF DATA BREACH letters to 22,554 impacted people on May 27, 2022.

Individual Impact: No information about consumer/employee PII, PHI or financial data exposure was available at press time.
